I am realizing that all the “bells and whistles” of blogs are amazing. Especially when I take a look at what other more technologically minded people are doing, I am inspired to try more and to be more adventurous. What is really needed is the time to do it all. Another thing that I need to keep in mind is that I need to stay focused. When I look at the long list of assignments that must be completed by the end of the course I realize that there is still a lot left to do or at least I think I still have a lot to do. I say “think” because I’m still not sure what some of the assignments mean. Terms like ‘establishing a news aggregator, a wiki, personal tagging account’ are still unclear in my mind and I would really appreciate if someone could clarify these.
Maureen,
I think that Yugma may be very useful for coaching to learn some of the bells and whistles. When you get it set up let me know and we can walk through some spots.
Where are you? Come back!
I just set up a wiki at pbwiki. It was fairly simple to do. I thought it was similar to setting up a blog. I will use my wiki for posting information for my students and their parents to see. I can allow the students access if I give them the password, but I am not ready for that yet!
I like the look of this site of yours. It strikes me as something brought forth from days of yore… Classic Literature, something along the lines of Dickens (even the title). It is nice to finally get around to your site (so sorry). In re: to helping you, once I untangle myself, I’m more than willing to help you do the same. Hey! Maybe we can tie knots together? And within very knot can be found the bow awaiting the rain…
PS: Bring your umbrella…
Correction: very up above is to be every… I would edit myself but I cannot re-access this post. I believe there is a way and I more than likely will… stumble upon it later.
Maureen, if you would like to Skype me, we could get some of your tools on track.
